‘Tis the Season

The holidays are almost here. This means a many things to us here at Macpack. Two of which are highly on our minds:

  1. Temperatures are dropping and we are still collecting donations here on our website for backpacks for the homeless. We are making changes for the season to bring back hats, gloves, blankets, etc. Things we believe can help with for the colder temperatures.
  2. This is the time of giving. If you have not decided where to give your contribution, please consider a small donation to Macpack.

Not all donations need to be large. We want to give a big thanks to Candyce Eskew and Lane Eskew who have pledged a modest donation every month. Every little bit helps and every bit of your donation goes directly to creating backpacks for the homeless. Help us to help the community. We greatly appreciate all of your support!

Hi! My family and I are planning our service effort for this Christmas and we’d really like to do something like this (backpacks for the homeless/needy). We could just do it ourselves, but I wanted to see if there was a group we could hook up with whose efforts might be a little more organized. Are y’all going to be doing any distributing near Christmas? If not, do you know of any orgs that will be? Thanks!

Thank you so much for your compassion, especially during the Winter Holidays. We do have backpacks but our distribution is generally on an as-needed basis. If you would like to meet up, we can give you backpacks for your local community members in need.

I would also recommend checking out ARCH at http://www.frontsteps.org/wish-list/ for other options.
